Errichtet wird ein temporärer Raum, der in ständigem Umbruch ist, ein Raum, der sich während seines Bestehens beständig verändert und letztlich in sich zusammenbricht, ein Raum, der nicht aus-, sondern aufgestellt wird, sich kontinuierlich um- und verstellt, ein varianter, nicht festgestellter Raum, der sich nie restlos und final konstituiert und nur vorübergehend durch kontinuierliche Kraftanstrengung aufrecht erhalten werden kann – mehr Zustand als Bestand.
Ein Raum, der sich als Abfolge einander ablösender Anordnungen mit den Verhältnissen des Eigenen zum Anderen, des Innen zum Außen, des Körpers zum Raum und dem Dazwischen auseinandersetzt. Dieser Raum ist nicht dazu da, betrachtet zu werden, es ist kein visueller Raum – vielleicht ist es ein haptischer Raum. Within the Interim (a while withal) ist eine Stellungnahme zum Raum und zur Zeit, den Körpern und der Gemeinschaft, dem Eigenen und dem Anderen, dem Innen und dem Außen, dem Zwischenraum und dem Augenblick – der niemals aufrechtzuerhalten ist und stets auf der Flucht.

This piece consists of the construction of a temporary space in a state of constant transformation, a space which continuously changes while it exists and then finally collapses upon itself, a space which is not exhibited but put in position and which ceaselessly repositions and readjusts itself, a variant, unfixed space, which can never reach a final and complete stage of its own constitution, but can only sustain itself through the persistent exertion of physical energy – a state in process rather than property.
A space as a series of configurations, each displacing the last, which addresses the relations between self and other, inside and outside, body and space and the in-between. This space is not there to be observed – it is not a visual space; perhaps it is a haptic space. Within the Interim (a while withal) is a position taken towards space and time, the body and the bodies together, the self and the other, the inside and the outside, the interspace and the moment, which can never be sustained and always escapes being grasped.
